Prince William and Kate Middleton Just Released a Surprise Photo from Prince Louis's Christening
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a fifth, surprise photo from Prince Louis's christening this morning. In addition to the four portraits by Matt Holyoak released yesterday, Will and Kate have also chosen to share another picture, taken by photographer Matt Porteous in the Clarence House garden.
According to royal reporter Rebecca English, Porteous "was at the christening as a ‘private’ photographer, taking pictures for the family’s personal album. But William and Kate liked this shot of Louis so much that they decided to release it publically [sic]."
"Their Royal Highnesses hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do," reads a tweet about the image from the royal family's official account.
Will and Kate are following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lead in releasing a more candid photo after a series of official portraits. Shortly following their engagement, Harry and Meghan shared two formal pictures, and then also this one "as a way to say thank you" to royal fans.

While the Queen was not in the official christening photos as she didn't attend Louis's baptism, there was a small tribute to the British monarch in these pictures. Over Prince Harry's shoulder is a portrait of the Queen.
