Princess Charlotte Took Charge of the Bridal Party
Princess Charlotte might not have been the oldest member of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bridal party at the royal wedding, but that definitely didn't stop her from becoming the leader of the pack. It turns out the three-year-old helped direct her fellow bridesmaids and page boys behind the scenes.
"She was really sweet," one wedding guest told People. "There was one girl who wanted to go and she said, 'No you can’t go yet. We have to wait until we are asked.' She was really organized!"
The royal wedding insider sat right by the princess' nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who was equipped with the right tools to keep Charlotte fueled and focused for the day. "I was sitting right in front of [Maria] and she was bribing the youngest bridesmaid with Peppa Pig and Smarties, which was quite funny," the guest added to People.
When Charlotte wasn't playing wedding planner, she was stealing the show with the perfect princess wave outside St. George's Chapel and sticking her tongue out in the car to photographers, à la her uncle Prince Harry.
Charlotte and her four-year-ld brother Prince George were two of the 10 adorable bridesmaids and page boys who attended to the royal couple over the weekend. Thankfully, the group got to practice the all-important procession a couple of times before the real deal on May 19.
“A mock veil of the exact same dimensions was used and the children were present,” a source told BAZAAR.com of the wedding rehearsals at St. George's Chapel. “The timing, the distance the page boys walked behind her… everything had to be perfect.” And that it was-partially thanks to Charlotte.
