Princess Eugenie is a blushing bride as she weds Jack Brooksbank in sophisticated Peter Pilotto gown
After months of guesswork, Princess Eugenie has finally revealed her wedding dress.
The 28-year-old bride wore an ivory-hued satin gown by Peter Pilotto to wed longtime love Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on Friday morning. The dress features a traditional boat neckline, long sleeves, and a sweeping train.
For regal sparkle, the princess finished the bridal ensemble with a tiara and Duchess of Sussex-inspired tendrils.
Eugenie’s selection of Pilotto is surprising, as bookmakers had predicted, with odds at 7/2, that she would choose Erdem. In a recent British Vogue interview, however, she stated that she would be wearing a “British-based designer.”
Pilotto and Christopher De Vos compose the dynamic design team behind the namesake label, which launched in 2007. The duo’s first collection of digital-printed designs proved an instant hit and and secured their first buyers. The British brand is now sold in over 50 countries and is stocked by luxury retailers including Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman.
Royal wedding watchers caught a first glimpse of the princess’s gown as she rode in a 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI alongside her father, the Duke of York.
