Princess Eugenie Channels Her Late-Aunt Princess Diana in Statement Shades
Sunglasses must have been part of the dress code at Charlie van Straubenzee's society wedding to Daisy Jenks today in Surrey. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were both seen sporting specs leaving the ceremony, and several other guests were as well.
But it was Princess Eugenie's shades that made the biggest statement, and even reminded us a bit of Princess Diana. Eugenie arrived at the wedding alongside her fiancé Jack Brooksbank, wearing a pale blue dress, cream-colored jacket and black sunglasses with white-rimmed lenses.
Those lenses looked a bit like a pair Diana wore to a cricket match in 1987.
Eugenie has been in the news quite a bit this week. She and her sister Princess Beatrice gave a revealing interview to British Vogue, in which Eugenie confessed that a photo she posted on Instagram of her father Prince Andrew inside a private hallway of Buckingham Palace got her into some trouble.
"I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the palace that was off-limits to the public," she said.

In the wide-ranging article, the two sisters also opened up about what it's really like to be a modern royal with a career outside the palace, and Eugenie shared that her home, Ivy Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, is plastic-free, and she hopes her wedding will be as well.
Eugenie and Brooksbank will tie the knot on October 12 in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. At this point, it's unclear if the ceremony will be televised, as her cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's was earlier this year.
Either way, Eugenie says she's ‘not stressed at all’ about her wedding.
"It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realize that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters," she said.
