This Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini Recipe Is a Rich and Spiced Twist on the Fan-Favorite Java Cocktail

Is there such a thing as too much pumpkin spice? Well, if you ask me, not really. Hence why, I'll be indulging in all things pumpkin spice this fall — starting with a simple pumpkin spice espresso martini recipe! The classic espresso martini we all know and love gets a fragrant spin thanks to a pumpkin spice-infused syrup. Using the syrup provides the drink with prized spice blend without causing any clumps in the drink. Plus, an easy trick ensures the martini has a nice layer of espresso foam (better known as crema) on top. Here's how to make a pumpkin spice espresso martini that's the epitome of fall in a glass!

What is a pumpkin spice espresso martini?

This martini contains espresso, coffee liqueur, vodka and pumpkin spice syrup. These ingredients are shaken with ice before the drink is strained into a martini glass and garnished with pumpkin spice and coffee beans. Each sip is full of rich sweet and spiced goodness, making a must-try drink for the season.

The secret to a foamy espresso martini

One of the signs of a well-made espresso martini is a thick layer of crema on the drink. This adds a velvety texture to the drink and allows the coffee beans to sit on top without sinking. To achieve great crema, the experts at Lyre's Spirit Co. suggest using freshly brewed espresso when shaking up this drink. This is due to the crema settling as the espresso cools down, which makes it hard to froth up even more in the cocktail shaker. So, have your other ingredients ready to go before preparing the espresso shot. That way, you can combine the ingredients right away and serve a luxurious cocktail.
