Pups for Paris: Poppy, Gloria, Rex

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — As athletes are in the spotlight at the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, WKRG News 5 is bringing another spotlight to some four-legged friends along the Gulf Coast with Pups for Paris.

News 5 is introducing three pups who are up for adoption through Save a Stray: Rex, Gloria, and Poppy.

Rex is a 1-year-old, 51-pound dog with a brindle coat, according to his adoption page. His foster mom shared that he enjoys cuddling, being pet, and spending time with his humans.

“Prepare for lots of warm snuggles and tail wags!” his foster mom said.

Gloria is a 1.5-year-old, 35-pound dog with a tan coat. Her adoption page said she is a social butterfly.

“This pup may be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, her heartwarming personality shines through,” her adoption page message said.

Poppy is a 7-month-old, dog with a black-and-white coat. Her foster family shared on her adoption page that she is a smart and athletic female lab mix who loves to snuggle.

Poppy’s foster family spoke with News 5’s Cherish Lombard on the red couch on “The Four on 5.”
