The retreat truly lives up to its "Floating Gardens" moniker, and will be eco-friendly to boot, as the island is built on recycled polystyrene and uses sustainable materials for the interior. The spa is the brainchild of Studio Noach, a Dutch architecture firm, Anne Holtrop, and botanist Patrick Blanc, who designs vertical gardens and living walls. The center will boast major benefits for wildlife in the area, as the abundance of greenery is expected to be perfect living space for birds, insects, and butterflies.
