Quinta Brunson Shines in Balmain at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards
Quinta Brunson arrived on the red carpet for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, wearing a sparkling silver halterneck dress with a nude trim cutout by Balmain.
Brunson worked with celebrity stylist Jessica Paster, who also works with Emily Blunt, Aubrey Plaza and Karen Fukuhara.

Brunson’s sparkling dress is reflective of Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing’s penchant for maximalism, even during a year where the quiet luxury trend surged in popularity. “I don’t want to try to play a minimalist designer because at the end of the day, I’m not,” he told WWD ahead of his spring 2024 runway show during Paris Fashion Week in September. “I think what people should be about today is the strength of identity and DNA. Because there is one thing that you shouldn’t lose, no matter the trends, is who you are.”
Brunson received two Golden Globes nominations at this year’s ceremony, including one for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy for “Abbott Elementary” and Best Performance in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy by an actress, also for her work on the show.
“Abbott Elementary” follows a group of elementary school public teachers in Philadelphia and the trials and tribulations they face as educators. The show has proven so popular it even inspired a fashion collection with JCPenney, featuring apparel inspired by the teachers on the show and their individual quirky styles. JCPenney even celebrated real-life educators by casting seven of them in the ad campaign, which included a TV spot, print, digital and social media.
Season Three of “Abbott Elementary” is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 7, with the full main cast returning, including Brunson, Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter and Chris Perfetti.
The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrate the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023. It is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by WWD parent company Penske Media Corp.
