These Quintuplet Preemies Celebrated Their First Christmas With an Adorable Photo Shoot
This Christmas will be extra special for one Kentucky family. Briana Driskell, a 30-year-old mother of quintuplets, almost lost her life when she underwent a c-section to deliver her babies at just 28 weeks. At birth, each baby weighed less than three pounds.
"We found out on the same day that we were pregnant and there were five babies with healthy heartbeats," Driskell, 30, told Good Morning America. "The doctor strongly urged us to do selective reduction or terminate the pregnancy because he said the probability of us being able to have a healthy pregnancy and five healthy babies was slim to none. That was not even an option for us."
Now six months old, babies Zoey Hart, Asher Blaze, Dakota Faith, Gavin Lane, and Hollyn Grace Driskell have had a remarkable recovery. To celebrate their first Christmas, Briana and husband Jordan booked photographer Ashley Childress of Sweetlilpics for a special holiday photo shoot.
"I've been wanting a family for so long that I'm beyond excited to be able to send Christmas cards this year with my own babies," she said in an interview with Good Morning America.
What's even more heartwarming is Briana hand made each of the babies' onesies herself and even made sure the sayings on their outfits matched their temperament.
