Rebel Wilson returns to Instagram with summery bikini post

Rebel Wilson is pretty in pink.

The Pitch Perfect alum, 42, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of herself posing in a pink bikini paired with a matching jacket and white retro-style sunglasses. The post comes one week after the Australian star revealed her new romance.

Wilson’s followers loved the look. One wrote in the comments section, “Serving Bardot vibes,” referring to screen icon Bridget Bardot, while another added, “You look amazing Rebel! What I love the most though is how confident and comfortable with yourself you look! Thank you so much for sharing.”

In 2020, the Jojo Rabbit actress went on a weight loss journey as part of her “Year of Health.” She spoke to Yahoo Life in April about what she learned about herself during that experience.

“When I was heavier, it was kind of like a barrier. In some ways, that barrier protected me from things, but now that it’s gone, I’m much rawer as a person,” she explained.

In May, she spoke to People about how she's been treated before and after her weight loss.

"I was invisible in a way even when I was an international movie star," she told the magazine. "And then suddenly to have people want to carry your groceries, do nice things for you purely because of how you look, it's interesting."

"I know what it's like to be on the other side of that coin," Wilson continued. "And now I know what's it's like to get attention in the positive. There is a societal bias towards what society deems as good-looking. It's not right. It sucks, it's unfair. I feel sad if somebody doesn't love the body they're in. You want to celebrate all body types but I also want to encourage people to be healthy."

Wilson, who told Yahoo Life that she had went on more than 50 dates last year, also recently shared that she is dating someone new: Ramona Agruma, the founder of Los Angeles-based sustainable clothing brand Lemon Ve Limon. She captioned a June 9 Instagram post announcing her new relationship, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”
