Reebok has just put out a new collaboration with Jurassic Park and you might want to snatch a pair of these monstrously cool trainers before they go extinct.
A collaboration 65 million years in the making, Reebok's motto for this line of shoes and apparel cheekily referenced the movie: "Before we even knew what we had, we patented it, packaged it, and slapped it in a shoe box."
It's quite an extensive collection as well, with nine different shoe models, three T-shirts, two hoodies, a utility vest and many kids models as well.
The most striking pair of trainers in the collection has to be the Jurassic Park Instapump Fury OG Shoes, which feature graphics and colors inspired by the tour vehicles seen in the movie franchise and with slip-on design and lightweight cushioning keeping you comfortable on the go, so you can look like you stepped in T-Rex anywhere you like.
If you are looking for a more subdued look, you might want to go for one of the three models in the collection based on Reebok's classic Club C shoe.
The Jurassic Park Club C Legacy Shoes are inspired by the all-knowing Mr DNA, which in the original 1993 film explains how scientists managed to bring back dinosaurs through their DNA. The trainers feature graphics from the movie like a cracked dinosaur egg on the collar, bubbles on the heel, a mosquito on the sole and a DNA sequence on the side.
If you want to channel everyone's favorite palaeontologist, Sam Neill's Dr Alan Grant, you might want to go with the Jurassic Park Club C Shoes, made of a tan suede upper, a red collar lining that hints at the character's signature bandana and a Reebok label on the side that looks as if it was ripped by a raptor claw.
For those instead wanting to support the movie's geeky villain, Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight), the Jurassic Park Club C 85 Shoes sport a floral print on the leather upper, inspired by his Hawaiian shirt, while the zebra-print pony hair on the heel references his screen saver. The tongue is made of raincoat material like the one Nedry wears when he's trying to escape the island with the stolen embryos.
Definitely a hard one to pair, the Jurassic Park Classic Leather Shoes are chaos theory personified. Inspired by the legendary Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), these shoes have four Jurassic Park-themed prints decorating one side of the shoe with a classic Jurassic Park emboss on the other.
To round up the collection in the shoe department are the Dilophosaurus-inspired Jurassic Park Pump Omni Zone II Shoes, the Jurassic Park Stomper Shoes, authorized for InGen employees only, a second Ian Malcolm-inspired pair with the Jurassic Park Classic Leather Shoes and the Jurassic Park Zig Devil Kinetica Shoes, modeled after the Jeep that took the main characters on a wild ride through Jurassic Park.
In the T-shirt department, you can choose between this retro white tee that attests you climbed Isla Nublar, a minimalist one with a mosquito and the franchise's iconic T-rex logo, and a navy blue take on the iconic logo over a tropical pattern. Or just put all three in your cart.
While you're at it, why not add a Jurassic Park Camo Sweatshirt or a light blue one with a Mr DNA design on the back for all of your adventures in the lab or in the field? And for the full technical look, snatch yourself a Jurassic Park Utility Vest. Just make sure the dinos can't smell the snacks you're gonna stash in all those pockets for your next trip to the movies.
