As if we needed another reason to love Reese Witherspoon, the actress just revealed her totally relatable guilty pleasure.
Reese sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Monday evening to talk about her new cookbook, Whiskey in a Teacup. The pair quickly moved from talking about the book to Reese’s hit HBO show Big Little Lies. That’s when Jimmy asked Reese about other shows she loves to watch at home.
"You know what I'm obsessed with? Fixer Upper," Reese said.
Instead of agreeing like many of the audience members, Jimmy confessed he wasn’t sure what show she was talking about. In Jimmy’s defense, he did know it was a home improvement show, but he wasn’t familiar with the names Chip and Joanna.
“He fixes everything; she designs everything—they’re amazing,” she explained, including that it’s the perfect Sunday show for binge-watching. We agree.
Chip and Joanna Gaines have even inspired Reese and her husband to dream up their own HGTV show. However, the show, called Dirty River Flippers, wouldn’t have much decorating or renovating.
“We don’t have any talent constructing or building, and I can’t really design anything,” the southern-belle explained. “We’re just going to take houses that have a view of a dirty river, and just imagine what it would be like it is was better.
The audience seemed to be on board, and so are we! Anything with Reese is sure to be a hit.
If your ideal weekend is spent watching Fixer Upper all day with Reese’s company (and maybe a few of her recipes), then take a look at her book tour coming up. She’ll be at Magnolia Market at The Silos in Waco on September 27.
