For Resort 2025 Vince Leans Into Rugby, Sequins and Buttery Soft Knits

Caroline Belhumeur took her resort collection through two distinct chapters, holiday and rugby.

For the holiday side of things, she channeled the moody and modern vibe of Nicole Kidman in the 2024 movie “Birth,” mixed with Glenn Latchford’s images of Amber Valetta. “This mysterious kind of woman,” Belhumeur said during a walk-through. “She’s a little bit undone, in a cinematic way.”

The mystery in the collection is seen in Belhumeur’s carefully considered details: sheer panels on skirts, detachable colors with sculptural buttons or the perfect crisp white button-down. Simplicity is key, but subtle details elevate her work. She rounded the line out with burgundy sequins on a pencil skirt done “the Vince way,” a bit sheer with a higher slit up the leg, she said.

The second half takes her customer into the mythology of rugby, moving beyond the festive. Here, the fabrications do the talking, like the striped rugby polo pieces done in a silk for both a top with knit collar or a cascading skirt, reinventing a classic with a twist. Boxy cardigans with pipping trims, a subtle collegiate nod and the perfect layering piece to style over one of her utility pants with little rivets and topstitching.

The knit assortment is strong: nubby, cocooning and even featuring a very nuanced take on an animal print. It’s all about the details, which is Belhumeur’s special sauce. It’s what makes a Vince piece stand the test of time — without shouting — in a modern wardrobe.
