Rest In Peace Robb Gaffney

The world lost a good one over the weekend.

Robb Gaffney, the author of the iconic book Squallywood, passed away at his Lake Tahoe home on Saturday, September 22nd, 2023. Gaffney had been battling acute myeloid leukemia for four years.

Scott Gaffney, Robb's brother, shared the news of his passing on Instagram. The comments are flooded with love and support. See below.

Scott captioned the post with a simple: "One of one", an affectionate remark that is indicative of how many people viewed Robb.

Some of the biggest names in skiing and snowboarding took time to share their love and support for the Gaffney during this tough time. Their words are a testament to how massive of an impact Robb Gaffney made while he was on this Earth.

Gaffney will be remembered for Squallywood, his multiple cameos in his brother Scott's films, and for being the co-creator of G.N.A.R., the cult-classic movie made by Unofficial Networks that brought Shane McConkey's game of skiing Palisades Tahoe to life.
