Robin Williams’ Son Shares Tribute on 9th Anniversary of His Death
This year marks the ninth anniversary of Oscar winner Robin Williams' death in 2014. In honor of his father, Williams' eldest child, Zachary "Zak" Pym Williams, shared a beautiful tribute to him on social media.
The 40-year-old posted a photo of the actor playing tennis in printed cargo shorts and a graphic tee, writing, "Dad, on the 9th anniversary of your passing, I'm remembering you for your most excellent fashion choices."
Zak went on, "These days are always hard and I love remembering you for being so very, very YOU. Love you so much!"
Many people commented on the post sharing how the late actor also touched their lives, with one writing, "Your dad is universally loved and missed. He made the world a brighter place and I’m glad I was in it at the same time he was."
"We all honor him today for who he was, for all the joy, laughter and tears he brought us. He was an amazing man who gave his all and gave us all such wonderful memories," read another poignant message.
Zak's newest post comes not long after he celebrated his father on what would've been his 72nd birthday, July 21.
Along with a still from Williams' 1987 critically-acclaimed movie, Good Morning, Vietnam, Williams' son wrote, "Happy 72nd Dad! Was remembering how much I used to love that look you'd give. That look with a mischievous, loving grin that your friends and loved ones knew so well. Joyous and curious and wondrous. Miss you and love you forever!"
Zak is Williams' son with his first wife, Valerie Velardi, whom he was married to from 1978 to 1988. Williams is also father to actress Zelda Williams, 34, and Cody Alan Williams, 31, whom he had with his second wife, Marsha Garces Williams.
