Rockwall gets into the fall spirit with multiple events
Sep. 18—As Rockwall-area residents anticipate cooler weather and help themselves to seasonal treats like pumpkin spice lattes, multiple local businesses and organizations are planning fall festivals and other similar events that are in the cozy spirit of the season.
Some that have been scheduled so far include:
— Sept. 26
Fall Festival at Lakeshore Assisted Living & Memory Care (5250 Medical Drive) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. — To include a variety of activities for families to enjoy such as bounce houses, music, a dunking booth, games and carnival concessions.
— Oct. 4
Fall Festival at The Northsiade (190 Shenandoah Lane) starting at 5 p.m. — To include face painting, shopping, bounce houses, alcoholic beverage tastings for adults, live music, food trucks, and a live showing of the Rockwall High School vs. Longview football game on a jumbotron.
— Oct. 5
Oktoberfest at The Northside from noon to 5 p.m. — To include bounce houses, stein holding competition, drink specials, food trucks, live music and a DJ, and face painting.
— Oct. 6
Rockwall Fall Market at The Northside from noon to 5 p.m. — To include more than 25 local vendors, as well as a full bar, food trucks, football on a big screen, flash and henna tattoos, jewelry, hat decoration/personalization, and lawn games.
— Oct. 7 through Oct. 11
Free Fall Break Camp at Woodbridge Montessori Academy of Rockwall (3100 Stone Creek Drive) — Offering elementary school-aged children five days of enriching activities during Fall Break. To include reading and writing, STEM, arts, life skills activities, explorations of creativity, critical thinking development and hands-on learning. — Oct. 25
Fall Book Fair at Summerfield at Tate Farms (12992 Farm to Market Road 548) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — Organized by Blossoming Minds Homeschool Community, the event will feature books as well as coffee and other treats.
