The Royal Family Celebrates Meghan Markle’s 37th Birthday with Sweet Instagram Tributes
August 4, 2018 marks Meghan Markle's first birthday as a member of the royal family, since marrying Prince Harry on May 19. While the Duchess of Sussex is spending the day attending a wedding, other members of the royal family have been celebrating the occasion by posting sweet Instagram tributes about the former actress.
Meghan is turning 37, and although she's spending the day attending Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding, at which her husband is the best man, members of her new family have been posting on social media to congratulate her.
Firstly, Kensington Palace's Instagram account posted a photo of Meghan, along with the caption, "Thank you everyone for your lovely messages on The Duchess of Sussex's birthday! #HappyBirthdayHRH."
Also joining in the celebrations, the royal family's official Instagram account posted the message, "Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex! #HappyBirthdayHRH."
Clarence House, the home of Prince Harry's father, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also paid tribute to the Duchess of Sussex. Making use of a well placed cake emoji, the Instagram post said, "Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday 🎂?":
Princess Eugenie also attended the van Straubenzee's wedding, alongside Meghan and Harry. She arrived with her fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, with the pair sweetly co-ordinating their baby blue looks:
Even though Meghan is spending her 37th birthday at an event, the Duchess of Sussex looked to be in good spirits throughout the day, chatting to other wedding guests before the ceremony:
