Saks and Dior Team for Holiday Extravaganza Creating Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks
Saks and Dior have cooked up a holiday extravaganza this season, creating Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks. This marks the first time the retailer has collaborated with a fashion house to offer an immersive holiday experience. The partnership combines two luxury fashion brands to bring the spirit of the season to life for New Yorkers and visitors from across the globe.
Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks will launch Nov. 20.

Marc Metrick, chief executive officer of Saks, said, “This holiday season, we are proud to unite Saks with Dior and are thrilled to offer the World of Dior exclusively to saks.com customers. The exciting alchemy of this collaboration demonstrates the power of the Saks Fifth Avenue brand and the strength of our partnerships with the world’s leading fashion brands. For decades, we have presented our holiday windows and light show as our gift to New York City, and this year we’re happy to bring Dior’s beautiful design to Fifth Avenue for all to enjoy.”
Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior, said, “I am delighted and so proud that Dior is partnering with Saks for this exciting event. Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks is a fabulous tribute to the dreams and magic of the holiday season, so dear to the heart of Dior from the beginning, as well as an homage to the codes of icons, creativity and excellence of the House. But it’s also, and perhaps above all, an ode to the visionary fascination our founder nurtured for the United States, particularly New York, which Monsieur Dior visited as early as September 1947 — shortly after the triumph of the New Look and just before embarking on his trip across the States.”
A key component of the Saks-Dior partnership will be the launch of an exclusive assortment of Dior merchandise on saks.com, featuring all categories and serving as the only e-commerce outlet other than dior.com, and available throughout the course of the partnership. The Dior Pop-up on saks.com, starting Nov. 20, is the first time that all categories of Dior merchandise will be sold via e-commerce anywhere other than on dior.com. Offerings will include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear handbags, shoes, accessories, maison and baby and La Collection Privée Christian Dior.
Women’s products will include Dior’s cruise 2024 and signature collections, featuring select items exclusive to Saks. Men’s products will include Dior’s spring 2024 collection and Denim capsule, permanent collections and the spring 2024 capsule, which saks.com will exclusively pre-launch. Dior Maison products include a new collection that echoes the inspirations of the Dior cruise 2024 show.
As a highlight of the collaboration, Dior will transform Saks’ New York flagship into a winter wonderland this holiday season, with a reimagined light show experience, a complete visual takeover of Saks’ 10-story-tall facade, and the most extensive holiday window display Saks has ever created in collaboration with a brand partner.
In addition, Dior Parfums will have a dedicated pop-up space on Saks’ beauty floor featuring Dior makeup, fragrance and skin care holiday offerings available exclusively at Saks.
For the 14th consecutive year, the Saks holiday windows and light show will be presented by Mastercard.
Last November, Dior partnered with Harrods in London, unveiling their largest-scale collaboration, a gingerbread world and immersive experience that traced the history of Christian Dior, his family and career. As part of that holiday project, Dior took over 44 windows, the facade of the Knightsbridge store, a café and two pop-up shops. A megastar measuring 17 meters, or almost 60 feet, was placed high above the Brompton Road entrance, forming part of a lavish 3D display inspired by sketches from the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo for the Dior cruise 2023 collection.
According to industry sources, “The Fabulous World of Dior” takeover at Harrods generated more than 25 million pounds in sales, and transformed Dior into the number-one bestselling brand at Harrods, as reported by WWD. The store declined to confirm any figures, but said Dior was a “top performer” throughout the 2022 festive season.
