Sandra Bullock Previously Hinted at Bryan Randall's Health Battle

Sandra Bullock had been savoring every single moment with Bryan Randall up until his death over the weekend.

Randall, the actress' longtime partner, died at age 57 on Saturday, Aug. 5, after privately battling ALS for three years. Now, a resurfaced interview with Bullock reveals that she once hinted at the health issues Randall was facing behind-the-scenes.

While appearing on an episode of Red Table Talk back in December 2021, the Oscar Winner opened up about her relationship with Randall, whom she never officially married.

"I found the love of my life," she said at the time. "We share two beautiful children— three children, his older daughter. It's the best thing ever."

That's when she hinted at going through "the hardest of times" with Randall, stating, "I don't wanna say do it like I do it, but I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother. I don't need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don't need to be told to weather a storm with a good man."

News of Randall's death was first announced on Monday, Aug. 7, after his family revealed in a statement shared with PEOPLE, "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS."

"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request," the statement continued. "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours."

"At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan," his family concluded, before signing off, "His Loving Family."
