Windows
Attach windows to house with royal icing, then affix candy eyeballs to windows with melted hard caramel.
Creepy Tree
Snip off the ends of 9 chocolate Twizzlers to expose the hollow center. Thread wire through the centers and trim the wire so it's hidden. Bunch the Twizzlers together and wrap a piece of wire around the center, toward one end. Bend out the shorter half to form a tree base that can stand up. Bend the taller limbs to form wild tree branches.* Place the tree on the cookie base and stick M&M's around the roots.
*Remove wire before eating.
Headstone
Cut the bottom third off a Milano cookie and pipe RIP on the top using tinted royal icing.
Dirt: In a food processor, pulse 6 chocolate cookies (such as Famous Wafers) until they're fine crumbs.
Bones: Scatter bones sprinkles over crumbs.
Pumpkin Patch
Use mellowcreme pumpkins and green shoelace licorice for vines. Draw a face on one pumpkin with royal icing.
Paved Ground: Make a path to the front door with white M&M's; attach to the cookie base with royal icing. Stick gray, black, lavender and purple M&M's around the house.
Spiders and Web
Affix mini M&M's to the walls using royal icing. Then pipe royal icing legs and eyes and draw a web.
