Selena Fans Slept Outside MAC Stores for the New Collection

MAC Cosmetics‘ highly anticipated Selena collection hit stores on Thursday, and fans were going nuts for it.
After the wildly popular makeup line sold out at major online retailers last Friday, fans had been eagerly awaiting its in-store release. Some customers gathered outside MAC stores as early as 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night (some 12 and a half hours before the shops opened) to get their hands on the products.
Makeup lovers have been updating social media with photos and videos of the outrageous queues for the collection.

One customer noted that the Selena collection sold out in her local MAC store in Virginia in just 15 minutes. Another detailed that he waited almost three hours to purchase his products.
Stores are celebrating the buzzworthy occasion in many different ways. Most have been playing Selena’s music as customers stop. One shop in Glendale, Calif., gave out doughnuts and coffee to its customers. Another user posted about one store manager in Ohio doling out white roses, as it was one of the star’s favorites.
Although fans might be eager to snag the entire collection, some stores are limiting customers to three products per person. With such an overwhelming response, it’s clear Selena’s makeup collection is a hit!
