Shania Twain is living her best life.
While taking a very brief hiatus from her Queen of Me tour, the country icon crossed off a “bucket list” item by joining the Foo Fighters onstage at Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL).
She commemorated the milestone moment in a post on Instagram, with the first picture in the slideshow of Twain—going full rock star in a fiery red wig—posing gleefully with the rock group backstage.
Fans then got to see the magic in action as Twain shared photos and videos from the surprise performance, belting out the group’s hit "Best of You" to close out the show.
As for how she felt about the whole ordeal, Twain took to the comments to reflect on the evening, writing, “This was one off the bucket list for me! Firstly thank you to @foofighters for inviting me on stage - you are all so generous and ridiculously cool. I am a huge rock fan.”
“My first band was a rock band, my first big producer was one of the worlds renowned rock producers, me and my son like to rock out ?? Totally worth the adrenaline fuelled [sic] run from my stage to yours Dave Grohl - you are a true friend and talent ??,” she concluded.
Twain co-headlined the festival along with the Foo Fighters (before joining them on stage) on Saturday night, sharing a post from her own performance for the Austin crowd, noting, "I loved this one so much! ?????”
“My @aclfestival crowd partied with me through the whole set and I came off stage absolutely buzzing with all the awesome energy! What a trip!"
She had such a blast, in fact, that she expressed her disappointment in not being able to return for the following weekend, though duty calls, as she explained, “gotta get back to #QueenOfMeTour ??.”
Twain is picking up the next leg in her North American tour in Fort Worth on Oct. 12 with a handful of U.S. dates on the schedule before heading to Canada with stops in Toronto, Quebec City, and Montreal. The tour officially concludes on Nov. 14.
