Shoppers Are Calling Costco's Tasty New Dessert 'Incredible'

Costco

Bulk grocer Costco is a one-stop shop for any and everything on your grocery list. And while that may be a problem for your wallet, it’s such a delight to peruse the seemingly never-ending aisles and bays for new and exciting products (even if it means overfilling our carts a bit.) Sticking to a list on your weekly trip to the warehouse-style retailer becomes even more of a challenge around the holidays as the grocery chain begins to deck the halls with sweets and treats galore.

From famed pecan pie to the festive mash-up of peppermint and chocolate, Costco has a plethora of goodies up its sleeve, and it feels like Christmas every day. Kirkland Signature, Costco's private label brand, produces a multitude of incredible products, and the newest decadent offering from the label is the Kirkland Signature Chocolate Mousse Dessert shoppers are calling “so good!!!”

Each dessert consists of a chocolate cookie crumble base, topped with a rich chocolate mousse, and then it all gets covered in a silky chocolate ganache. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings and the only thing missing is a robust glass of red wine. Although the dessert doesn’t come with wine (even though it should), it only costs $9.99 for a pack of six, which means you can easily justify throwing a bottle into the cart, too.

Instagram user @costcobuys shared the chocolate lover's dream dessert, and users were quick to sound off in the comments section. “I neeeeeeeeed ??,” lamented one person. “Ooooh ??,” said another interested buyer.

While a few professed their love of the sweet, some expressed disappointment in the dessert's taste and didn’t mince words in their review. “They’re ok, bit bland and not as creamy as I would’ve liked,” matter of factly said someone. Another unimpressed person likened the taste to that of “chocolate pudding.”

However you feel about the rich and chocolatey delicacy, it’s worth it to try it for yourself. But if you’re still not sold on grabbing this one up solely for yourself, it would be a fantastic dessert to bring along to the next holiday gathering.
