Sibley Nature Center to host Elizabeth Dryden at artist reception

Apr. 17—Sibley Nature Center, 1307 E Wadley Ave, Midland, has scheduled a free artist reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 23. The event is open to the public complete with light snacks and beverages.

Currently on display, "Creations' Critters: A Texas Tribute" by artist Elizabeth Dryden is a collection of contemporary Southwest mixed media artwork by this 6th generation Texas artist. The community is invited to explore the beauty of Texas and beyond in a Wild West adventure of color, texture, and playful charm as Dryden explores the Modern West as she sees it. Her combination of cardboard, gold leaf, molding paste, paper and paint creates a special experience and is sure to make the viewer smile.
