Simone Biles straightens her boyfriend's hair and it's adorable

You know you’re in a trusting relationship when your boyfriend lets you straighten his hair. Take Simone Biles and Stacey Ervin, for example. Ervin allowed the Olympic gymnast to take a straightening iron to his tight, beautiful curls over the weekend.

Biles posted an Instagram story in which she filmed her boyfriend’s natural hair while saying, “I’m gonna straighten his curls.” While the fellow gymnast surrendered to the petite brunette, who usually has straight hair herself, he shook his head, showing a little embarrassment and apprehension.

The end result? Well, let’s just say it doesn’t do his naturally perfect mane justice. As one would guess, straightening curls without using any product and by a nonprofessional (at least when it comes to hairstyling) resulted in a big pouf of hair. Biles seemed to realize this, as she giggled for the camera.

Letting your girlfriend play around with your hair is a big step in a relationship, though — especially one that just went public on Aug. 22 when Biles posted a photo in which she’s embracing and looking up at Ervin. The accompanying caption read: “Always smiling with you.”

We’re going to go ahead and say this is an excellent sign for a promising future. While it may not have resulted in #hairgoals, it definitely served as a good example of #relationshipgoals.
