Will Smith Perfectly Captured How It Feels When the Pre-Workout Hits

For Will Smith, 2021 has been the year of the fitness journey. After snacking through quarantine and putting on weight, the actor and producer admitted he was in the "worst shape of his life" in a photo which showed his tummy. He has since committed to ditching his "pandemic body" and investing in his health and fitness, throwing himself into a transformation program which will see him develop the kind of ripped physique he has previously shown off in his action roles.
And he's taken to the process with gusto.
In a recent video on his Instagram, Smith gave a pretty spot-on impression of how it feels when you down your workout and then it kicks in. "I didn't get much sleep last night," he says, "but now, I am spectacular." He then launches into a mile-a-minute monologue where he speaks about how much energy he has, and talks about how he's been working on his upcoming memoir Will (due to be released later this year), before promptly crashing.
According to the video game-inspired graphics that accompany the video, Smith gets out an impressive 209 words in a matter of seconds while in "turbo mode."
This is the latest in a series of tongue-in-cheek posts that Smith has shared about workout culture. He has also made parody videos in which he uses every piece of equipment in the gym completely wrong, a montage of his first try at yoga, and the funniest pieces of fan art which transpose one of his training photos into famous movies.
He has also posted slightly more inspirational content about his experiences trying new forms of exercise, like scuba-diving in the world's deepest swimming pool, and his valiant (if ultimately unsuccessful) attempt at a tire flip.
