Your Snail Mail Can Now Smell Like Ice Cream, Because Why Not?
Ever gotten mail and thought, Forget what’s inside, I wonder what it smells like? Yeah, us neither. Despite that, the United States Post Office is releasing its first-ever collection of scratch-and-sniff stamps, and, OK, they’re pretty damn cute.
The scented postage collection, “Frozen Treats,” was inspired by summery frozen desserts because, according to the USPS, “Today, Americans love cool, refreshing ice pops on a hot summer day.” We…can’t disagree.
It’s also hard to argue with the on-point nostalgia factor: Much like the markers and stickers of our childhood, the stamps feature different flavors. (No word on what those flavors are, but we’re hoping for coconut and vanilla and also chocolate.)
You can preorder the stamps now, ahead of the June 20 release. And yeah, we’re buying into the gimmick.
