'Sopranos' Star Says She Paid Off Her House After Just 'Five Minutes' on OnlyFans
Former Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo is the latest celebrity to turn to OnlyFans to make a quick and easy buck, and the 52-year-old now credits the subscription-based content creator platform with helping her pay off her house. And what's more, she says OnlyFans saved her life.
The mother of two claims she only had $10 in her bank account before she decided to give the service a try, after her refusal to get vaccinated for Covid left her out of work. Further complicating her financial situation, De Matteo says she had run out of money to care for a parent with dementia.
"It saved us. OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it really did save us," she told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview this week. "Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids."
De Matteo shares a son and daughter with her former partner, musician Shooter Jennings.
'They put me into foreclosure and my house had flooded, so I was trying to sell the house quickly ... before they took it," she continued. "At the same time, I lost my mom, and my other mom, who has dementia, had run out of money for her caregiver. I didn't know which way was up.'
Uploading racy photos to OnlyFans was an idea that took De Matteo some getting used to. But once she took the plunge, it didn't take long for her to see the money come rolling in. "I kept putting more pictures up," explained. "I was like, holy sh-t. In five minutes, I was able to pay back [the real estate company] who kept the sale of my house."
Now, De Matteo says she's found a new sense of an empowerment from the platform, on top of the financial windfall she's received.
"It feels good to see those photos," she gushed. "They might be touched up here and there but the truth is they videotape me going live when we do the photoshoot so fans can see the photo shoot happening in real time."
De Matteo, it's worth noting, has also spent the last few years going through a self-described "political awakening" that has seen her push anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, amongst other dubious information.
