Sorry, Ladies: Jim Hopper Is Getting a Love Interest in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3
It appears Jim Hopper will get a brand-new love interest in the third season of Stranger Things. (No offense, Steve Harrington.)
In a recent interview with TV Guide, actor David Harbour discussed the upcoming season and revealed that his character will take on an entirely new venture that—surprisingly—has nothing to do with Demogorgons.
He said, “I think we’ll start to see him take more risks with these new languages of intimacy and vulnerability and maybe we’ll start to see that he has needs that he hasn’t expressed before.”
Although he didn’t give a name, he also didn’t deny a fling between Hopper and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) when asked about their chemistry. He continued, “That’s a good question. I’ll have to get back to you on that one.”
Regardless, Harbour said he’s thrilled to explore the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of dating, adding, “That’s exciting to watch him open up in that way. Of course, he’s going to flail and be horrible at it too, which is always fun as well.”
We couldn’t agree more. Season three of Stranger Things is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2019.
