Southwest Addresses Savannah Chrisley's Claims of Unjust Treatment on Flight
On Friday, Savannah Chrisley took to her Instagram Stories to call out Southwest Airlines for not letting her board a flight, but a representative for the airline claims her account of the situation wasn't fully accurate.
"Our initial reports indicate a different story than the one from the Customer's account, as she arrived at the gate late in the boarding process and repeatedly insulted our Employee after being asked to gate-check her bag," the spokesperson told ET.
They added, "As a result, the Customer was denied boarding on her original flight, and we booked her on a later flight the same day."
In a series of videos (per Page Six), the Chrisley Knows Best alum alleged that she was de-boarded from her flight back to Tennessee after she didn't want to check her carry-on.
She filmed the flight attendant from afar after their disagreement and revealed his name, then explained what he allegedly did.
"I went to board my flight to get on and he told me that I had to check my bag. I was like, 'Okay, if you wouldn't mind, I'm gonna take my bag on the flight, see if I can't make it fit and if not, I'll check it,'" she said.
"His exact words were, 'No, that's not happening.' I was like, 'Okay, let's go ahead and put a tag on it in case I have to check it but I'd love to see if there's any room for it.' And he goes, 'You're being an unruly passenger,'" the former Bravo star continued.
One of the pilots allegedly went over to diffuse the situation and promised her that he "was going to find a place" for her bag.
According to Chrisley, the flight attendant refused to listen to the pilot. "[He] literally looked at the pilot — the man who is flying our plane and is responsible for our safety, the most important person within the Southwest Airlines — and looked at him and said, 'Stay out of it. No, you're not. Ma’am you’re not flying on this flight,'" she said.
She then admitted that she called him an "a—hole" after he refused to let her board the flight.
