Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Is Coming To Netflix This Month

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is one of the greatest superhero movies ever made — maybe even the best, if we’re being honest. The widely beloved film was a smash hit for superhero fans when it was released in cinemas earlier this year, and pretty soon, it’s coming to Netflix.
In a tweet on the official Netflix Twitter account, the streaming giant revealed that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be coming to the service in just a couple of weeks — October 31, 2023. It’s worth noting this only applies to the US, as some other countries already have the film on Netflix, while others still will see it brought to other streaming services like Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video.

Across the Spider-Verse follows the similarly fantastic Into the Spider-Verse from 2018, a film that was so incredible that it started a shift in film animation that was subsequently seen in movies like TMNT Mutant Mayhem, a film that proved you don’t need Shredder to tell a good Turtles story.
Across the Spider-Verse was previously released on physical media on June 2, roughly three months after its theatrical debut, and has been available to rent or buy digitally since August 8.

Across the Spider-Verse has been available to rent or buy digitally since August 8, and was released on physical media on September 5. It also got an amazing Spider-Verse collector’s edition that I wish I could justify buying, but at $120 USD, it was a little too pricey — even if it did include the first film.
The announcement comes just in time for the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has been getting good reviews ahead of its launch on the PS5 on Friday, October 20.
