Subway's Footlong Sidekick menu will soon be getting a new item—and so far, have fans mixed feelings about the news.

Food news Instagram account @snackolator shared the announcement on Friday, April 12, revealing the new item joining the Footlong Sidekicks menu: the brand-new Footlong Dippers.

Made with the new Lavash bread now featured in all Subway wraps, the Footlong Dippers are rolled up with a choice of protein and melted cheese, making for a tasty ooey-gooey snack that's perfect for dipping.

According to @snackolator, the new Footlong Dippers have already debuted in test markets, where they were available in three flavors: Pepperoni & Cheese, Chicken & Cheese, and Double Cheese.

An exact rollout date hasn't yet been confirmed, nor has an official price for the dippers, though were priced at $3 each while in test markets.

The Footlong Dippers will be joining an array of other Sidekick items, including the Footlong Chocolate Chip Cookies, Footlong Cinnabon Churros and Footlong Auntie Anne's Pretzels.

Fans on social media weren't sure how to feel about the news of the latest addition, though some were already eager to try the Footlong Dippers for themselves.

"EXCITED," one Instagram user gushed over the news, while another declared, "I’ll be trying the Pepperoni and cheese and chicken with cheese."

Others were more skeptical about the new menu addition, including one user who urged Subway to "Please stick to subs and cookies."

"They’re really tryna make the cheapest food lol ??," another person wrote, while someone else theorized that the dippers were only created to help them utilize the tortillas from "all those wraps they don't sell."

"They can kept that trash," someone else bluntly stated.
