The Superstar Cocktail Drake Drinks 'All the Time'

Drake

This past Monday, Drake celebrated his 37th birthday in Miami with a low-key blowout that saw the likes of celebrity bartenders Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston behind the bar serving drinks. The popular Toronto rapper took to his Instagram to share his favorite moments from the night, while another video — which was potentially shot the same night — popped up featuring Drake describing how to make his favorite drink.

“They wanna know what it is,” Drake says in the video posted by his friend, a fellow rapper who goes by BenDoDonnn. Regarding his personal party drink of choice, the "Slime You Out" crooner revealed, “It’s the Onda-lini." Jokingly continuing with "we call it the Onda Civic," the iconic multi-talented artist then schools viewers on exactly how to make it.

“All you do...bust a can of orange,” Drake starts off in the instructions, referring to a can of the base ingredient in the cocktail, Onda. He then advises adding lots of ice to a glass before pouring Onda over the ice. “Add fresh passion fruit in there,” Drake continues, “and stir it up, like Bob Marley would say.”

Onda was founded in 2020 by Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell. The PLL alum is also the wife of Matte Mitchell, Chief Brand Officer at DreamCrew — which happens to be Drake’s management and entertainment group (and produces a little show called HBO’s Euphoria, by the way).

Made with blanco tequila from the woman-owned distillery in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico named Casa Maestri, Onda was born out of a love for tequila soda and is inspired by the surf-style of the 1990s. The alcoholic beverage consists of all-natural ingredients including both real tequila and real juice. The drink, which is available in multiple flavor varieties, has a 4.5 percent ABV, is gluten free and contains only 100 calories per can.

If you’re interested in drinking to your accomplishments just like Drake does every night, Onda is available for purchase online on the off chance you can't find any cans near you in-store. With ice and passion fruit being the only other ingredients needed to get the party started, you’ll be living for today, planning for tomorrow and partying tonight in no time.
