This Suspenseful Pierce Brosnan Thriller Just Hit Netflix’s Top 10 List & We Can See Why
If it’s been a hot minute since you’ve seen Pierce Brosnan in The November Man, now’s your chance.
Although the action film originally premiered back in 2014, it recently became available to stream on Netflix. Since its debut, The November Man has already claimed the number nine spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked behind He’s All That, SAS: Rise of the Black Swan, Sweet Girl, Vivo and Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed.)
The movie is based on the seventh novel in Bill Granger’s The November Man series, titled There Are No Spies, which was published in 1987. It tells the story of Peter Devereaux (Brosnan), AKA The November Man. The CIA veteran is five years into his retirement when he’s asked to assist with retrieving a captured Russian agent. When things go awry, he makes it his mission to seek revenge on those responsible.
Other cast members include Luke Bracey (David Mason), Olga Kurylenko (Alice Fournier/Mira Filipova), Eliza Taylor (Sarah), Caterina Scorsone (Celia), Bill Smitrovich (John Hanley), Will Patton (Perry Weinstein), Amila Terzimehi? (Alexa), Lazar Ristovski (Arkady Fedorov), Mediha Musliovi? (Natalia Ulanova), Akie Kotabe (Meyers), Patrick Kennedy (Edgar Simpson), Milo? Timotijevi? (Federov’s Chief of Staff), Dragan Marinkovi? (Semion Denisov) and Ben Willens (Agent Jones).
The November Man was directed by Roger Donaldson (Dante’s Peak), while Michael Finch (American Assassin) and Karl Gajdusek (Last Resort) wrote the screenplay.
Guess we’ll be adding The November Man to our streaming queue. Welp, so much for being productive.
