Taco Bell Is Bringing Back This Beefy Classic Thanks to Fans

Taco Bell is making summer 2023 one to remember.

The Mexican-inspired fast-food chain announced on July 24 that the Beefy Crunch Burrito is officially returning to menus nationwide beginning next week.

The Beefy Crunch Burrito was first introduced to menus in 2010 and quickly became a hit with fans before it was officially removed a year later. It then sporadically popped up on menus as a limited-time offer up until 2018 and hasn't been seen or heard from since–until now, as Parade is told it will be available for a limited time at participating locations for $2.49 and in combo form for $6.49.

The returning menu item includes seasoned beef, Fritos Flamin’ Hot Flavored Corn Chips, reduced-fat sour cream, seasoned rice and nacho cheese sauce.

Taco Bell Rewards Members will get early access to the fan-favorite entrée exclusively on the Taco Bell app on August 1, two days before it's available on restaurant menus on August 3, per the statement.

According to the rep, the Beefy Crunch Burrito's comeback is a direct result of the dedicated supporters who founded the now massive Facebook group–Beefy Crunch Movement, which pledged for its return–and customers voicing their opinions using the company's "Fan Favorite Voting Platform," which launched earlier this year.

After the second round of voting wrapped up in March, the Beefy Crunch Burrito tossed out any chances of bringing back the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos this year, earning 60 percent of the vote.

"I couldn’t be prouder of the Beefy Crunch Movement. We banded together earlier this year, got the votes in and we are beyond pumped to finally get a taste of what we believe is the best item to ever hit Taco Bell menus," Richard Axton, the founder of the Beefy Crunch Movement, said in a statement. "We are counting down the days until August 1 when it’s available early access and looking forward to savoring every last bite while it’s still available."

Earlier this season, Taco Bell revealed it would also be putting a few other cult classic options back on menus: the Crispy Chicken Taco and the iconic Volcano Menu.
