Taylor Swift Once Dressed Up as a Tick Prank Brad Paisley

It's been said that Taylor Swift is somewhat of a mastermind.

The "Anti-Hero" singer once pulled off the ultimate prank on Brad Paisley while opening his Bonfires and Amplifiers Tour at just 17 years old, where she appeared beside him on stage dressed as a bloated tick.

Swift opened up about her masterminding in an old interview with Entertainment Weekly, where she proudly announced that she and the other opening acts—Pickler and Jack Ingram—managed to prank him before he, a known prankster, could get them.

"You know how his single is called ”Ticks”?" she asked, referencing the 2007 track. "I went online and I ordered these giant tick costumes — like big, giant sumo-wrestler-looking tick costumes — and me and Kellie [Pickler] dressed up in them and ran out on stage and started dancing all around him. And then Jack Ingram, the other opening act, came out in this white exterminator suit halfway through the song, with a sprayer, and proceeded to kill us on stage."

While video of the joke once lived on Swift's MySpace, it's not easily traceable these days. One Swift-themed podcast found a photo of the three in their respective costumes, which they once uploaded to Twitter.

On that same tour, Swift got him again during a performance of "I'm Gonna Miss Her" on at her hometown stop, darting around the stage dressed as a fisherman, toting about a giant net and a fishing pole and eventually reeling in a giant fish.

A few years later, while on tour with Keith Urban, she struck again, dressing up alongside a few other members of her band as KISS during "Kiss a Girl."

Then, of course, there was the time Ed Sheeran turned the tables, sneaking on stage during the final performance of the Red Tour in a costume matching her dancers'.

In video footage from that evening's finale of "We Are Never Getting Back Together," Swift catches sight of Sheeran standing in full clown garb, doing a rapid double-take as she processes the imposter.

While there have been no reported pranks on her current Eras Tour, there have certainly been enough mishaps, including a number of stage malfunctions, issues with security, weather impacts, mid-show injuries, and more, leading fans to playfully call it the "Errors Tour."
