Tia Booth Reacts to Ex Colton Underwood Getting Picked for 'The Bachelor'
Tia Booth and Colton Underwood's love story ended on Monday night's episode of Bachelor in Paradise, and for good.
On Tuesday, Underwood confirmed that he will be on the search for his future wife as The Bachelor next season, but Booth quickly clarified on Twitter that she will not be one of the ladies vying for a rose.
"Congratulations @Colt3FIVE," Booth said. "I hope your season is full of protein powder, puppies, and naps!" The 26-year-old then added, "And NO I will NOT be a contestant on Colton’s season. Lord bless."
Booth and Underwood had a tumultuous dating journey that began after Booth appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of The Bachelor.
Here's a quick recap:
When Luyendyk sent Booth home, Underwood and Booth began dating off television after Underwood reportedly slid into Booth's DMs (fans speculated that he thought she would get picked to be the next Bachelorette).
However, their fling didn't last and Underwood ended up being a contestant on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette. Kufrin, of course, got engaged to her now-fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen, and Underwood and Booth decided to give their relationship a second chance on Bachelor in Paradise.
That led to many tears (on both ends), long conversations and a few cute moments that featured an impromptu hot dog date on the beach. But, ultimately, Underwood decided his feelings just weren't there for booth.
“Obviously you can tell how it was all so emotional for me,” Underwood told People. “But it was also good for me. I can’t say enough good things about Becca and enough good things about Tia. They’ve helped me grow and discover who I am and what I’m looking for in a wife.”
On Instagram, Underwood also thanked Booth for their time together.
"Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise," he wrote. "Don’t settle for anything less than the world, because that’s what you deserve. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and catch up on life some day, preferably over a hot dog dinner."
