Tina Fey’s Daughter Prefers ‘Parks and Rec’ Over ‘30 Rock’… Blergh
Sure, Tina Fey has won nine Emmys and is widely recognized as one of the funniest humans on planet Earth, but her 12-year-old daughter thinks Amy Poehler is way funnier.
Fey visited Late Night with Seth Meyers last night and revealed that her progeny Alice prefers Poehler’s Parks and Recreation to Fey’s award-winning series, 30 Rock. *Sad blergh*
The comedy powerhouse shared that she finally allowed Alice to watch 30 Rock earlier this year and, a couple episodes in, the preteen quipped, “It’s too weird for me.” Never mind that Alice played young Liz Lemon in the show’s final season and inspired many iconic Lemon-isms.
Of her daughter’s devastating blow, Fey said, “I had to take that hit. That was a hard motherly hit to take.”
Alice has, however, seen every episode of Fey’s bestie’s show and loves it.
Fey joked, “It was so hard for me not to be like, ‘Get in your room and watch 30 Rock!’ I wanted to spank her.”
Knife, meet back…
