Tomi Lahren posts sexy patriotic selfies amid media firestorm
Tomi Lahren is reacting to a social media firestorm — that includes support from President Trump — by posting sexy selfies after a woman threw a drink at her in a Minneapolis restaurant.
The Fox News pundit posted the images on Instagram stories Wednesday, which featured her wearing a hooded onesie with an American flag pattern, reportedly from Target. She also shared an Instagram still with the caption, “Sometimes you rise from the ashes. Other times, you create them. Be the whole fire. Thanks to #TeamTomi and @realdonaldtrump and even a few of my harshest critics for having my back. I appreciate you!”

More than 70K comments flooded in from supporters who congratulated Lahren for “taking the high road” and exuding “class” by not retaliating against the anonymous woman.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that while having brunch at a restaurant with her mother and other family members, a woman randomly threw a drink on the 25-year-old while she was passing by. A video posted on the website and on Twitter, shows Lahren arguing with the woman’s friends before leaving the restaurant.

On Wednesday, the president tweeted his support for Lahren, writing, “Everybody is with Tom Lahren, a truly outstanding and respected young woman!”

The conservative host received additional support on Twitter, even from comedian Kathy Griffin who in 2017 was the target of a Secret Service investigation after a stunt that involved her holding up a fake, bloody head to depict President Trump. “I couldn’t disagree more with Tomi Lahren, but I don’t think it’s cool to resort to physical actions to make your point,” Griffin tweeted. “The first amendment is a beautiful thing — use it.”

Throwing water at @TomiLahren is severely wrong and unforgivable. I don't care if you hate what she has to say or love it. Attacking commentators & reporters, regardless of their political affiliation or commentary, is the act of a coward & people who dont appreciate free press.

Stay strong! You're amazing and you're doing great work!

Lahren responded to her supporters by tweeting, “I appreciate the words of support — even from those who normally dislike me. Free speech is a gift — no need to resort to that kind of attack. I’ll discuss the restaurant incident on Fox and Friends tomorrow morning.”

However, on Twitter, critics questioned why Lahren had earned the support of Trump as opposed to other high-profile people who had experienced more extreme injustice. And some expressed the opinion that throwing water was trivial in light of larger issues that Lahren has publicly opposed, such as gun control or athletes who kneel during the National Anthem.
It took Donald Trump less than a day to show support for Tomi Lahren who had a drink thrown at her arm…
It also took Donald Trump three weeks to show support for James Shaw Jr. who disarmed a mass shooter and saved lives…
I wonder why

You're telling me there wasn't a single good guy with a drink to protect Tomi Lahren from the bad guy with a drink?

If you're all freaked out that Tomi Lahren got splashed, you get to STFU about how waterboarding isn't bad

I'm glad to see you no longer care about disrespecting the flag. Finally won't have to hear you spew hatred towards those who kneel during the national anthem. Awesome!
