Tomi Lahren mocks Kim Kardashian for being ‘political thought leader of the right’
Tomi Lahren has found a new high-profile Twitter target: Kim Kardashian.
The conservative pundit took to Twitter Monday to strike out at the reality star, who has aligned herself with the White House to promote her new passion project for criminal justice reform.
Kardashian, who successfully lobbied President Trump to grant clemency to Alice Marie Johnson last year and most recently thanked him for trying to persuade Swedish authorities to free rapper A$AP Rocky, has been lauded by some conservatives for working with the current administration.
But Lahren — who has previously called out soccer star Megan Rapinoe and rapper Cardi B on social media — isn’t so impressed with Kardashian’s backing of the First Step Act, legislation which offers improved provisions for inmates as well as reduced federal sentences for drug offenses. Kardashian is credited with encouraging Trump, who signed the bill into law last December, to support it.
Fox Nation host Lahren is no fan of the First Step Act, calling its supporters “felon-friendly” and calling Kardashian’s role as the “the political thought leader of the right” a “mistake.”
Just thought I'd remind everyone....told you so! Interesting how many felon-friendly "conservatives" are now seeing the light! I guess making @KimKardashian the political thought leader of the Right was a mistake, huh? Imagine that! https://t.co/YKguCixbDX

Lahren’s outburst was prompted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s segment bashing the law, which he claims, citing exclusive data from an unnamed Trump administration official, “has allowed hundreds of violent criminals and sexual predators back onto the streets.” (According to the data Carlson claims to have received, 960 of the 2,243 inmates released under the First Step Act were in prison for drug-related offenses, while the remainder were imprisoned for crimes varying from robbery to sex offenses to homicide.)
Hmmm I called this back in December 2018 and was told I didn’t know what I was talking about... https://t.co/Lr4pkTjClM

While Kardashian has not yet responded to Lahren’s diss, the controversial commentator is getting her fair share of criticism.
You peddle a whole bunch of fear for someone who brands herself as tough and 'above it all'. Desperation is ridiculously transparent. #resist #bebest

I never thought plastic surgery could wear off but watching your limited segments on tv it appears you’re slowly reverting back to water park Tammy.

Pretty sure that your dude allowed for this to happen. You do know Kim K has no real influence, all she did was approach him with a plan. Trump decided to make it happen

Just remember that your president and his son in law - with input from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are touting this as their signature legislative achievement!

Kardashian wasn’t exactly spared, however.
You know Kim's gonna sit on u for that! (but if u want, I'll take your place!).

Kardashian made her most recent visit to the White House on June 13, where the president lauded her for being a “powerful advocate” for the First Step Act.
