'Too Hot To Handle's' Francesca Says Her Kiss With Haley Happened For A 'Few Reasons'
It was the kiss heard around the Too Hot To Handle palapa. Contestants Francesca Farago and Haley Cureton secretly locked lips and got away with costing their fellow cast members $3,000—or so they thought. Robotic love guru Lana sold them out as soon as she was asked (because, Lana), screwing up their formally fool-proof revenge scheme.
But was *that* kiss really just a revenge scheme or something more? Haley seemed preeeettttty into Francesca based on her confessional interviews and, well, everything else on the show, but it wasn't anything serious, the Vancouver native tells Women's Health.
"I think Haley's a beautiful girl, and kissing her was a lot of fun. And I think that she thinks the same way about me," Francesca says. "We just formed this crazy bond after certain things were happening in the house that really connected us."
But they didn't just make out because it was fun, or as a way to mess with the rest of the group's money—it was both. "It kind of just connected further," Francesca says. "We knew it was going to cause some drama, and we were having our little partner-in-crime moment to stir the pot as much as possible."
On that note, she adds, "Everything I did [on the show], I did with intent... so I don't really have any regrets."
Despite sharing a kiss, Francesca had mixed feelings when Haley was later kicked off the Netflix reality TV show. "I was very sad when she left. It was extremely upsetting because she was my best friend in the house, and I confided in her," she explains. "She always had my back 100-percent, but it was foreseen that she was gonna go."
"...The way that she was talking about being there, she really didn't want to be there," Francesca continues. "She didn't really care to immerse herself in the experience."
According to Francesca, Haley would "always" say that if there was an elimination, she'd volunteer. "So, I did see it coming," she adds. "And I did know that Lana did it for everyone else to be able to form stronger relationships... I thought it was for the greater good."
In fact, Francesca acknowledges that Haley's elimination ultimately benefited her main romance. "If Haley stayed until the end, I wouldn't have formed as strong a relationship as I did with Harry [Jowsey]," she says.
That said, the former castmates are still friends. "We don't talk as much as I would like. I think [Haley's] really busy with school," Francesca explains. "And obviously, I have a busy life, as well as living on other sides of the country."
Despite their busy lives (recently made even busier by the show's premiere), Francesca remains close with all the other THTH women, too: "Because we went through the craziest experience together... we're basically bonded for life."
Too Hot To Handle is currently streaming on Netflix.
