The Touching Way Ariana Grande Paid Tribute to Mac Miller for Their Song's Anniversary

Ariana Grande marked a big milestone for her and her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller on Instagram yesterday with several touching tributes to Miller. The two's first collaboration, "The Way," was released six years ago, on March 25, 2013. Grande acknowledged this first by sharing an Instagram Story with "six years" and a white heart written on a black background. She also shared a shot of Miller's dog that she adopted, Myron, on her Story, and a photo of them together on her Instagram feed.
"real protective wit my soullll where YOUUUUUU been," she wrote on the shot of her and Myron.
Miller passed away at the age of 26 in September. His death greatly affected Grande, who has shared several tributes to her longtime friend and past boyfriend on her Instagram. In her longest written tribute to him, Grande wrote abut how she will always love him.
"I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will," she wrote days after his death. "I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest."
Grande was asked yesterday during an Instagram Q&A how she is generally doing now as she kicks off her Sweetener tour. She made it clear then that she has plenty of people around her lifting her up during the hard moments. She wrote, "Grateful. Even when things come up," with a tear emoji. "Even when we're sleep n run down. I am just grateful to be here. With many people I love....I have a beautiful support system, I love my job, and I really am just grateful to be here tbh. P.S. I love you too!"
