Trader Joe's Just Dropped a New 'Delicious' Dessert Item, and Shoppers Can't Wait to Get Their Hands On It

For one reason or another, this time of year feels the most sensory. Whether it’s the familiar smells of the season or the locked-into-your-central-nervous-system taste of your aunt's mac and cheese, fall and winter pack on some serious nostalgia.

Of those nostalgic traditions, perhaps the most delicious one is the almost ceremonial way we bake any and everything. From artisanal sourdough to pumpkin pie, baked goods truly have their moment when the weather begins to cool. While we love the challenge of baking from scratch, sometimes a store-bought shortcut can’t be beat. And as we look for ways to achieve the same delicious results in record time, grocers are constantly releasing products perfect for your next gathering that require minimal to no effort.

Sugar cookies, simple as they are, can be incredibly polarizing. Most of us have fond memories of the seasonal cut-out ones you can find at the grocery store, while some of us have our family’s time-tested recipe and can’t even stomach the premade stuff. Whether you’re a sugar cookie purist or prefer the always-familiar taste of the manufactured ones, Trader Joe’s promises to provide the nostalgic taste you know and love without all the effort.

Spotted on the dedicated Trader Joe’s Reddit thread, user fashlove01 shared a photo of the tube of buttery dough, and needless to say, excitement ensued.

While some comments focused on the packaging choice, with one saying, “I need to have a conversation with the packaging designer. Whyyyy the yellow? Such a strange design choice for a beige product,” most users were actually delighted. One user even offered the incredibly relatable insight, “Sometimes I feel I need to unsubscribe to this sub because something new always pops up and then I gotta go back to TJs. I’ve already been there two times this week. And now it’ll be three so I can try this.”

You can grab a 16-ounce package of the sugar cookie dough at your nearest Trader Joe’s for just $3.99, which is a small price to pay for something that could be life changing. And while you’re there, you might want to pick up some mini chocolate bars just in time for Halloween.
