Travis Kelce Talks Possibility of Retiring From the NFL

Travis Kelce isn't afraid to talk about retiring from the NFL, so long as it has nothing to do with his football career.
In fact, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is certain he's "never" going to retire from the professional league–but it's not for the reasons you may think, and no, it has nothing to do with his international pop superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
His claim originated from a conversation he had with his older brother, Jason Kelce, during the June 5 episode of their joint New Heights podcast. Shortly before the 34-year-old joked about his true feelings towards retirement, the former Philadelphia Eagles center explained how weird changes to his day-to-day routine felt since bidding farewell to the sport in March.
"I'm still getting used to it," Jason, 36, shared in the episode that aired on Wednesday. "It feels weird not going into the building and just the little conversations you have."
"You'll realize it, Trav," the dad of three added. "Once it's gone."
“I’m never doing it," the three-time Super Bowl champ declared. "Not after that speech, dude. No, f--k that. I don't want to go through that."
"That speech" Travis was referring to was his brother's official retirement announcement, which had everyone emotional three months ago, when Jason confirmed he wouldn't be returning to the Eagles next season after weeks of rumors and speculation.
But it didn't take long for teary-eyed Jason to move on from his position in pro football, as he confirmed in May that he would be accepting a role with ESPN for its "Monday Night Countdown" pregame show during the 2024 NFL season.
