Travis Scott’s Jordan Jumpman Jack Sneaker Gets Surprise Release During Grammys, Promptly Sells Out

Travis Scott’s highly anticipated signature sneaker got a surprise release Sunday to coincide with his performance at the Grammys.

The Jordan Jumpman Jack went on sale through Scott’s website on a first-come, first-serve basis and promptly sold out. Jordan Brand also aired a commercial for the sneaker and shared a movie poster-style promotional image on Instagram.

Scott has been wearing multiple colorways of the Jumpman Jack, which only now has had its name confirmed or been acknowledged at all by Jordan Brand, since last summer. The shoe marks Scott’s first signature model, arriving as an entirely new design after several years of the artist collaborating on classic silhouettes from Jordan Brand.

The Jumpman Jack debuted in a white, cream, and brown colorway continuing the desert aesthetic that’s been a through-line of Scott’s releases. A special Jumpman Jack logo, which has been made the profile photo for Jordan Brand’s Instagram account, appears in red on the tongue. Returning motifs also come in the form of the smiley face mark on the heel and a backward Swoosh on the shoe’s lateral side.

Leather and mesh are used throughout the upper, which also features a velcro strap across the bottom of the tongue. Rounding out the sneaker is a translucent gum outsole.

Although the Jordan Jumpman Jack’s launch came and went before many people even realized it, a wider release date will likely be announced soon. Pricing is expected to be $200.
