It’s going viral on TikTok for a reason.
TikTok supercharges beauty brands and products that its users believe in — how else would we know about hyaluronic acid-infused blush, foot peel masks, or blue foundation? Well, unsurprisingly, there’s a new product that’s been going viral over the last few months: the Wavytalk 5-in-1 Curling Iron, Wand, and Brush Set.
The multi-styling tool is currently all over the site — hashtags for the product have over 903 million views — thanks to thousands of videos showing off impressive before-and-after shots. The Wavytalk 5-in-1 Curling Iron, Wand, and Brush Set is an all-in-one styling kit available in a curling iron or curling wand set, with iron and wand barrels ranging from 0.35- to 1.25-inches and 0.5- to 1.5-inches. Each set includes the thermal brush that’s been making rounds on TikTok and has additional accessories like a hot tool glove and two sectioning clips.
The hair tool is available in three colors if you purchase the curling wand set with barrel sizes 0.5- to 1.25 inches, including rose gold, lavender, and millennial pink. Each tool clips into the base that has two heat settings; the tools heat up to over 350 degrees Fahrenheit using ceramic technology which keeps hair shiny and smooth without causing damage.
This thermal brush appealed to me because I’m admittedly lazy when it comes to styling my strands, and this seemed like a shortcut to not having to actually blow out my hair. The best place to learn how to use the Wavytalk 5-in-1 Curling Iron, Wand, and Brush Set is, of course, social media, so that’s where I headed first. I bought the set specifically for the thermal brush to achieve a ‘90s blowout. My go-to for figuring out how to use this was @jeremystoomuch, a creator who walks you through step-by-step how to correctly use it.
Most videos featuring this hair tool show the tool being used on dry hair so I followed suit, not wanting to risk damaging the iron or my hair. Using day-old hair with plenty of heat protectant, I sectioned off a one-inch piece and began the brush near my roots with plenty of tension to get volume. Then, I ran the brush through my hair and curled it up like I would a regular round brush.
I didn’t leave the tool to set long enough and the curl wasn’t super impressive at my first pass. The next time, I let each pass sit for about 30 seconds before releasing it and I got a perfect blowout curl. Many creators advise locking in the curl with Velcro rollers, and my Southern heart loved how much volume this extra step gave me. I’ve since experimented with the various wands and have liked the curls they produced, but I really love the thermal brush.
Amazon shoppers agree with me that this is a great tool, especially for the value — it’s currently the best-selling hair curling wand on the site with more than 3,200 five-star ratings. Plus, more than 10,000 people have purchased it in the last month alone, per the retailer. One reviewer satisfied with their purchase said that “the hype is real” and “you cannot beat the quality and price.” Another shopper loved its compactness, saying “it’s a great tool if you don’t have the space for multiple curling irons” to get everything from “loose waves” to “tight curls” with “curls that are consistent and long-lasting.”
Having a multi-tool set like the Wavytalk 5-in-1 Curling Iron, Wand, and Brush Set that includes a thermal brush to run through my hair in the mornings to make me look polished — and in less time than it takes to shower — is a huge win. Snag the tool now at Amazon before it sells out.
