How to Upcycle Mason Jar Bands Into the Cutest DIY Pumpkin Ever
You can't get much more country than Mason jars, which is why so many of our favorite crafts involve some part of the canning vessel. This rustic fall pumpkin is a clever way to re-use old, rusty Mason jar rings-and it couldn't be easier to pull together (literally). Don't have any extra bands lying around? No problem! Supplies
20+ Mason jar bands ($6 for 12; freshpreserving.com)
Kraft paper ($21 for 150 feet; amazon.com)
Orange spray paint ($7 for 12 oz.; amazon.com)
Sandpaper (optional)
Twine or other string ($7 for 500 feet; amazon.com)

Instructions
Spread 20 or more Mason jar bands out on kraft paper and spray-paint them orange. Let dry, flip over, and repeat.
When dry, distress with sandpaper for a rustic finish (optional).
Thread them onto a piece of twine (facing the same direction), pull tight to make a circle, and fasten into a knot.
Fan out the lids evenly and place a few cinnamon sticks in the center. (For more stability, tape the bundle of cinnamon sticks together first.)
Not sure what to do with the leftover lids that came with the bands? Simply save them for future canning projects (note that lids are only good for one single use when preserving) or these cute Mason jar lid crafts!
