'This Is Us' Fans Erupt on Twitter After Sterling K. Brown and Milo Ventimiglia Lost at Emmys
Safe to say, This Is Us fans weren't too pleased with the Emmys results.
The award-winning series had its best shot at scoring a "W" in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama category, with both Sterling K. Brown and Milo Ventimiglia earning a nomination. While Milo was a bit of a long shot to win, Sterling was predicted to take home the statuette this year. But, as it turns out, neither got the award. Instead, the Emmy went to Matthew Rhys from The Americans.
Naturally, this didn't sit too well with TIU viewers, who thought at least one of the Pearsons would be victorious. Some were blunt in their complaints, others were just downright dramatic:

Of course, fans have every right to be upset/get emotional over their favorites not winning. Nonetheless, they should be comforted by the fact that Sterling earned the Emmy last year and the award went to Matthew, who won't have another chance to win the category for his role in The Americans (the series has ended).
As far as Milo goes, he has scored two Emmy Award nominations and one People's Choice Awards nomination so far for being Jack. With the rate he's going, he'll surely be up for the accolade soon again. There's always next year!
This Is Us season 3 begins September 25, 2018 on NBC at 9 p.m. ET.
