'Vanderpump’s Brittany Cartwright Shares Cryptic Post Amid Jax Taylor Separation

Brittany Cartwright shared a cryptic post on social media after announcing that she and her husband, fellow Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor, are “taking time apart.”
Cartwright, 35, recently shared a quote on Instagram Stories that spoke to a woman’s power, according to E! News. The quote, which has already disappeared from Cartwright’s account, said, “If a woman holds the power to create life, she also holds the power to create the life she wants.”
The post in question was first shared on Feb. 11 by the undefeated.moms Instagram account.
Cartwright’s message followed days of speculation about her relationship with Taylor, 44. On Feb. 29, she ultimately confronted separation rumors—which she had previously fueled by mentioning that “marriage is hard”—during the couple’s When Reality Hits podcast.
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” Cartwright told their podcast listeners.

On March 1, Cartwright told TMZ that Taylor is “not really trying that much right now,” though she has “asked him for a while to do certain things, and nothing has come from that yet.” However, when she was asked if she still has hope that they will be able to work out their marital issues, Cartwright said she does.
Cartwright also dismissed rumors that the split is a “stunt” designed to promote their forthcoming Vanderpump spinoff series, The Valley. The show is expected to premiere on Bravo this spring.
“This is definitely for my mental health,” Cartwright told TMZ. “I think that’s been one of the hardest parts right now, is that people are speculating that I am doing something for the show coming out.”
Taylor has also expressed hope in a reconciliation. The reality TV star told Page Six on Feb. 29 that his separation from Cartwright is “not a divorce” and that their decision to take time apart “is all fresh and new.”
