Video of Dog Lovingly Watching Over His New Puppies Gives Us All the Feels

He's already such a dedicated dad!

When dogs have babies, you probably think it's the mama who keeps watch over the litter. She feeds them and she's very protective. But every once in a while we'll see a clip that shows us dad doggos are just as invested in their families as the mom. 

One recent example comes from TikTok user @bullyrunners. The puppies were all sleeping together in a basket on the floor. And instead of the mom checking on the little ones, dad was on duty. The clip shows the dad dog peering over the edge and it's touching hearts.

Aww! How adorable is this?! You can just see the happiness pouring out of him. "My heart just melted all over the screen," said @thehoopergirl. Same here! You don't see too often dog dads looking after the little puppos so this is such a sweet surprise. We've watched it a hundred times already!

"Oh he loves them so much," wrote @derbytoc. He's going to love them forever and ever. And he'll protect them with his life! @candacemb11 added, "Aww like a real parent! Exhausted but has to keep an eye bc he's worried. ❤️." Exactly like a parent! This just goes to show dogs aren't too different from us after all! 

"You know people say animals don't have souls would this is proof there is so much more to love than we understand bless this big boy and his babies," commented @chevy65oneal. How could anyone say animals don't have souls?! They love more than anyone we know!
